Features · AI Pipeline
Marintel's AI is not a generic document model. It carries clause libraries built for the contract forms used in ship sale and purchase, newbuild, and financing — and applies risk profiles specific to each jurisdiction and deal type.

Every uploaded document is identified by type — MOA, Bill of Sale, class certificate, P&I certificate, survey report, building contract, refund guarantee. Marintel carries a library of maritime document types across NSF Saleform, Nipponsale, SAJ, NEWBUILDCON, and custom forms.
Key fields are extracted from each document: vessel particulars, parties, dates, prices, delivery conditions, warranty terms, arbitration clauses. Extracted data is structured, searchable, and surfaced in the deal room dashboard alongside the original document.
Extracted fields are validated against known standards — vessel IMO format, certificate expiry logic, flag state requirements — and against each other across documents in the same deal room.
Marintel reads across multiple documents in the same deal. When the MOA says one thing and the class certificate says another — or the refund guarantee period doesn't match the payment milestone — the contradiction is surfaced as a finding.
Each finding is presented as a citation: document name, clause number, original text, and a plain-English explanation of the issue. No scores, no black boxes — findings you can share with your lawyer or lender.
Domain training
Marintel carries clause libraries and risk profiles built for the specific contract forms used in maritime transactions — not generic legal language models fine-tuned on a sampling of shipping contracts.
"Every finding comes with an exact citation — document name, clause number, original text."
Marintel never gives you a risk score. It gives you something defensible: a citation you can share with your lawyer, your lender, or your counterparty. No black boxes. No unverifiable summaries.
Capabilities
Identifies every file type in your deal room — MOA, Bill of Sale, class certificate, P&I certificate, survey report — the moment it's uploaded.
Extracts vessel IMO, parties, delivery date, purchase price, payment milestones, warranty period, and arbitration clause from each document.
Reads across all documents in the deal room and flags contradictions — a delivery date that doesn't match, a payment milestone that conflicts with the refund guarantee.
Tracks sanctions screening evidence (OFAC SDN, EU consolidated, UN, UK OFSI) for every vessel and counterparty, verifies it covers all named parties, and blocks key deal phases until clearance is current.
Checks each document against the expected standard for its type — missing mandatory fields, expired certificates, flag state mismatches, and condition gaps.
Senior maritime professionals combine their expertise with AI-driven market data to deliver vessel valuations that are cryptographically signed and verifiable.
Upload a contract and watch Marintel classify, extract, and surface risk in minutes — not hours.
